Smoking in the room
The room smelled with a strong cigarette smell. Even though there was a no smoking sign

A mediocre hotel with dated fixtures and fittings.
A mediocre hotel with dated furniture, fixtures and fittings. No room service. Reception located on "Level 2". Need to carry luggage up the first flight of steps before getting to the lift at "Level 0". Convenient location for Firenze SMN train station.

GO ELSEWHERE
Internet was not good. Unable to maintain connection. Pillows are paper thin. Pictures provided by hotel are not even close to same as actual room. Two twin beds together to make a double and balcony view is horrible. Don’t expect a bidet, there is not one in room. Mattresses are horrible spring mattresses that need replaced. Don’t waste your money or time. Book elsewhere

this hotel was close to the train - 5-7 min walk (and also bus to airport). It is about 20 from the center of town. Everything is walking distance. grocery store 7 mins away. room was clean. a/c worked. front desk very nice. good breakfast with many options. I would stay here again

Good location, nice breakfast and reasonable price
It was close to the train station, and that's what we were looking for, because the Next day we had to take the train earlier in the morning. Breakfast was actually really good for the price of the hotel and it was included. not many hotels do that anymore. The people from the hotel were nice. So for one night for me was perfect.

Not a 3 star hotel
It was good as a 2 star hotel but not 3 star. The breakfast was ok, the staff was friendly and the cleanness of the room was so-so. But the location of the hotel was not good. It was a little far from city center and located in a shared building.

Poor 2.0
Bad experience in Florence
Terrible location due to construction and unsafe feeling of the area. Rooms were really crappy and there was actually black mold in the shower! We left and luckily found another room at Hotel Bigelow next to the Duomo downtown. That one was wonderful for less cost!
James, us3 night romance trip
Very good 8.0
Staff was great esp Roberto! Breakfast was good! Good coffee. Walking distance to main Station and main attractions. Lots of choices to eat. But the old elevator most of the time did not work because someone forgot to close the inner door. You need to climb couple of steps before you can get to the elevator.

Nothing special
Nothing special, not the worst hotel I have been in but if I came back to Florence I would probably try a different one. For the price it is fine, don't make high expectations on the breakfast, unless they have many getting breakfast it has just a few things, the coffee is from an automatic machine and juice is not always available. The bed was not great, too solid for me but my girlfriend said for she was fine, the best thing was the shower, not big but really good pressure and temperature. Also, if you want to take a coffee late night they will probably prepare one at the reception for one euro, just keep in mind it will be probably the smallest ristretto you ever had.

Victoria at reception was amazing. She was super accommodating and helpful. The location is beside the trains according to Google, but actually the train entrance was the opposite end (away from the hotel). If you wanted to be near tourist sites, this is not it.
