We decided to spend a night in Sun City after our stay in the Pilansburg and before our trip to Cape Town.
This is a very old hotel. While they have tried to renovate it you can not hide the fact that it is an extremely old and dated hotel.
The rooms are spacious but are not cleaned very well. There was a used razor in my shower when we got into the room.
The breakfast buffet was one of the best I have ever had but that unfortunately can not make up for some of the staffs poor attitudes.
Now I don’t know if this a South African thing or just a localized thing but the staff at this property just had the worst attitudes towards guests. It almost seemed like you were annoying them. The bar staff were the worst. The eye rolling and just general demeanor when ever we ordered anything was absolutely disgusting. If you are in the service industry be prepared to interact with clients.
There was one exception to this and that was the front desk gentleman who was actually very helpful and pleasant and assisted with a charge we had made by mistake and helped us reverse it.
But other than that it was very bad service all around.
