Anniversary Getaway: will return for the location!
We wanted to stay in a convenient location - and I must say this hotel is in the best spot. Super close to Termini station, only 15 mins walk to the trevi fountain - we actually walked EVERYWHERE! Even all the way up to the Vatican City (approx 45 mins walk)
The staff at the hotel were friendly, some didn’t speak English but that doesn’t bother us.. only a little when the kitchen staff didn’t understand my gluten intolerance (i made the note on my booking so I thought maybe it would’ve been communicated?) - but one of the young boys tried his best despite the language barrier & gave me my daily bread roll and tart (the only gluten free breakfast option there)
We checked in around 10pm & DID have a couple issues with our room at first.. unfortunately the table (which is a sort of marble / glass) was smashed, the floor had nail clippings on it and there was a few issues with the door frame to the room? (I think this hotel had issues with their construction team when renovating.. I can see the creative interior design but sadly it was executed poorly). The shower was also broken, spraying water everywhere except out of the head!
However, the next morning the manager very kindly moved us to a new room which turned out to be an upgrade! A gorgeous new room with a stunning view. Apart from a leaking bidet, this room was simply perfect.
We’d return.. but be aware we did also notice they tried to charge us and others for minibar items! Bit cheeky haha! Obviously refused!
