Absolutely epic hotel. Wonderful service by owners Sr Fred and Senora Donna and their staff. We spent time in a chalet family room - absolutely stunning views- wonderful garden and grounds. The lodge is approx 2 kim in through an epic entry way ( bring a car or have a driver bring you up to the lodge).. Absolutely wonderful service and a fantastic menu .. We also went horseback riding on property with an amazing view over all. 10 min from the mystic hanging bridges. Cant wait to be back. Great service from Natalia, front desk manager and the entire service restaurant staff as well. The rooms are rustic, cute with small bathroom and kitchenette ( microwave oven and coffee maker) . We would come back for the view, restaurant and service any day.

Tim Kinsella quick three dayer.
This place is one of my favourite places in the world, still on the tour in Jaco on the pacific, but would rather be in Arenal Lodge.

Garden view was actually a view of the volcano with a garden in front of it.

Amazing surroundings, nature walks, views of volcano and surroundings. Pool, breakfast with views, privacy, quiet in our family suite. Worth the winding uphill drive which we avoided doing at night.

Fabulous grounds and food. One of the best places we have ever stayed. We were here 15 years ago, remembered it and came back.

Good
We were a bit disappointed with our stay here. This was our more “splurge” stay on a budget trip. We paid $150 for a volcano view but we were in room 306 where the view is very obstructed. There were several spiders in the bathroom. The breakfast was delightful and the grounds are pretty. Nice pool and jacuzzis. Had more of an inn vibe versus a hotel vibe

The room we were eventually put in was amazing but it came at a hefty price. We booked through Hotels.com and we’re given a room that we absolutely couldn’t stay in...so we’re given an upgrade but it cost quit a lot for 2 nights, but had no choice if we were going to enjoy our time in Arenal.
