Older hotel with slow wifi
I expected better service from a hotel which is famous and expensive. When I checked out I was not feeling well so I requested late checkout, the lady on the phone was not very friendly and had to ask for approval, and at last I was able to get one more hour. Luggage person took half hour to come. Hotel itself is also older. I think they are just very busy and not worried about their business. Wifi was very slow.

Luxury stay
The hotel and the service are amazing, but I will point a few things that I found less impressive such as bed comfort, it was too hard, the bathroom amenities very basic, I understand the sustainability issue but still you expect better amenities in such high class hotel. Vendome buffet is great, Martaaban restaurant and Lebanese restaurant both great, Italian restaurant was disappointing and pool bar food also disappointed, but they do have nice cocktails.

Amazing hotel and friendly staff Very focussed on local large families with 'nannies' (no parents at pools) monitoring large groups of 8 to10 male kids/unruly teenagers who didn't all get on. We could not get tea in main hotel in afternoons as reserved for group bookings - small area available but was full disappointing
