Fire alarm
We were rudely woken up around 6 to the fire alarm going off, which ended up being a non emergency. However, instead of waiting around outside to be able to get back into the building with our luggage and 2 puppies, we decided to just just check out 5 hours before check out time because we didn’t know how long the whole process would take.

Great Stay
Was pretty much a great stay. Rooms were big and comfy. Beds and pillows were great. Only thing I didn't like is elevators kept getting stuck while we were in them. Other then that front desk was great. We needed fans they brought them to us and towels etc we went to front desk no problem.

Not clean. Furnitures seem to be aged. The restaurant on the first floor did not follow the hours they advertised. The day we stayed, it closed 3 hours earlier.

Not recommend
The management here is not good. 1. There was a person with a knife threatening people during the night I stayed. Few police with guns came. 2. The elevator is not working properly, we reported couple times to the front desk, but did not get the issue solved. 3. There was no heat coming out from the AC. Imaging the winter cold in NJ without AC. If you have a better choice, avoid this hotel!

Not Happy
WE kept smelling pot in our room, this was terrible. There were kids out playing in the hallway at 1:30 AM. This was very disturbing and we could not sleep. They finally quieted down around 2 AM. We did call the service desk and complain.

I'd come back
The room we had was good for the price we paid, our room was spacious. It's the first time that I've stayed in a hotel where there is a glass window that is available for you to watch people from the hallway, ofcourse if you want privacy then you can close the curtains. It was a plus that there were parking spots near the area that was for free, there's a restaurant inside the hotel. The elevators were very quick, never waited too long even during checkout times. There's tons of restaurant that are walkable around the area too and American dream mall is <10 min drive. The room is a little old but still clean.

Disappointed.
Very disappointed in our stay. We’ve stayed in this building multiple times prior to the new ownership and were always satisfied. This is our first stay with the new ownership. There was water leaking in both of the windows causing discoloration on the walls and wet carpet under the windows. I was traveling with a 6 month old and was told they had no infant beds available only after calling the front desk multiple times over a few hours our first day. For the inconvenience of them not having an infant bed, we were given a voucher for free breakfast the next morning. When I presented the voucher, the woman made a phone call confused about the voucher and then still charged me $26 for breakfast on top of taking the voucher. We had no hot water in our room the last day we were there and were unable to shower. There was a coffee maker in the room but no cups and also no working ice machine. They also charge a $250 refundable deposit for your stay. I’ve paid as much as $50/day in other hotels but this was with the ability of charging things to the room which I did not have the option to do here. I was very confused on the high deposit.
