Overpriced and under serviced.
Bedroom had 4 brown stains on the carpet (looks like animal faeces). I contacted reception to complain and was advised housekeeping would investigate. To my disgust and dismay, no-one attempted to remove the stains for the duration of my 7 night stay.
I also advised reception of the filthy balcony glass and windows. I was advised that contractors are responsible. I suggest you hire new contractors as it looks like the balcony outer glass has never been cleaned.
The 4 lifts are too slow and more often than not, full to capacity for 53 levels/300 residences. Many times we had to wait for 4 lifts or more full of guests or housekeeping staff with their tools of trade. This made us late for dinner bookings twice and it took 30 minutes for an available lift to check out with a porters trolley.
Shared areas such as the BBQ and pools were not cleaned regularly. Only one BBQ station in service for our entire stay and the grill was not cleaned. Nor was there hot water to wash, only the cold water was connected. Either leave cleaning tools for residents/guests to clean after themselves or set up a regular cleaning roster with staff.
Pools had discarded drinks everywhere. Bar staff need to do a regular glass run.
Mirrors in the lifts had fingerprints all over and tiles were wet from pools. Come on The Star - you can do better! You advised on multiple occasions that you manage but do not own The Star Residences. Management and external contractors requires a major review.
