Off-Season Short vacation.
Staff was friendly.Great access to the beach. Room was decent. Everything was very clean and comfortable.No fitness center.6:30a.m.-9:30a.m. Continental Breakfast was great. Could use a few modern upgrades for the room but overall,no issues.Close driving distance to Wright Brothers historical monument park and museum,stores,Lazer tag,Movie theatre,Bowling Alley ,minature golf,gift shops and more.

So-so Experience
It was disappointing to arrive and discover sandy grit all over the floors of the room. The water pressure for the shower was poor. Supposedly we were given an upgrade because that is what it said on our admission form. I shudder to think what was less than what we were given.

Very clean! Didn't have to keep my socks on because of dirty floors. Is very convenient to see the sights. We stayed 3 nights. Drove to Hatteras one day but plenty of sights closer by, along with time on the beach. There is a store diagonal to motel that has whatever you may need plus great deli sandwiches. Will return.

Close to beach, but old.
Older building that had the bathroom updated. Breakfast was good and beach access was great. Pool was below average. Except for location, the hotel was disappointing due to age and worn condition.

Nice visit BUT
The hotel was pretty cool as an old hotel but some things needed to be redone, restored or brought up to date. Like the carpeting, some trim work, front door slammed quickly and hit me with full hands and my foot and stairs were somewhat slanted. I’m sure there’s more and I don’t think anything has been changed in 20 years! Also the Wi-Fi was not very strong at all and everything to do around there needed tickets that needed to be purchased online! They had a hotel guest computer system with printer so I asked about using it but it didn’t work. This hotel was rated higher than I thought it should have been! It was nice and on the beach the staff was very helpful and polite but I’d only give it a 6.5 out of 10!
