Overall lovely hotel, staff attitude let's it down
Had a 2 night stay this past weekend. Smooth check-in, clean and well maintained rooms, good air-con. Morning breakfast has huge selection of options, food was fresh, and plenty of it. 10am finish is a little early for holiday makers. Pool area was decent with lots of sun loungers umbrellas, etc. and good views of the sea. Let let down for us was staff attitude when requesting bottled water. "We're a lucky country and you can drink water from the tap." was the standard and scripted response. As a customer, don't give me attitude, give me the product. It's a standard and basic request for water. Didn't ruin overall experience but showed the hotel isn't as polished as they'd like to have you believe.

Transferred without warning !
When we arrived at the airport the hotel transfer driver informed us that the Argosy Hotel was closed and we would be staying in the Lacroma Hotel which is in the same Group and was nearby. The Hotel was much bigger than the original not on the beach and was very crowed. The hotel itself is OK but the room we were given was with a view of the Road at the back . It was noisy if you opened the window . The facilities etc were all quite good but it was very busy everywhere. Breakfast was a nightmare . Only went the first day. Too many people and no social distancing etc.etc. I was very unhappy that we had been moved without any warning . Would not book a Valamar Group Hotel again as they seem to have no regard for their clients.

Great - IF you’re allowed to stay here
Hotel was nice and lovely views from the pool area. However half way through our stay we were given a letter to say the hotel was closing and we were moved to their sister hotel which was nowhere near as nice. This significantly affect our holiday as you would imagine. I would never book again as there is no confidence you’ll actually get to stay in the one booked - I’d read this on other previous reviews and this is something they seem to do quite a bit. Really disappointing and tainted our holiday experience.

Lovely hotel with beautiful views-fantastic break
Really lovely hotel, staff friendly and helpful. Beaitifully decorated with really good facilities. Room was a good size also and bed comfortable (good pillows!) Pools were lovely and the views were spectacular. There is a bus stop a two minute walk away (number 6) which takes you into the old town in less than 20 minutes its very easy to get around ajd the coastal path nearby the hotel is gorgeous to walk down to some more local restaurants. Breakfast was great lots of choice each day and all fresh. Really enjoyed our stay and would book again!
