Profile: Charlotte Center City

Profile: Charlotte Center City

Charlotte Center City is packed with gleaming skyscrapers, modern hi-rises, and sports arenas. It’s a place where banking bigwigs hustle on their way to investment meetings, NBA fans dash to the Time Warner Arena, and motorsports devotees sprint down to the NASCAR Hall of Fame. Here, you can test your driving skills in an 8-car race simulator and learn about the history of NASCAR.

Music-lovers should head to Charlotte’s hippest music venue, the Fillmore Charlotte. A sister to San Francisco’s legendary Fillmore, the Fillmore Charlotte has its own oak-wood hard floors, vintage band posters, and red-painted decor, just like the original.

The Dunhill is a beautiful hotel with clean and up to date rooms. Only thing I didn’t like was housekeeping trying to come in our room before the noon checkout time. We heard the knock and repeatedly shouted occupied but she came in anyway

    OK but not great.

Cute older hotel if you're into that kind of ambiance, but definitely "no frills" aside from location. Coffee maker in my room was broken. On site restaurant is overpriced for what you get. Food was good and service was great, just very small portions for the money. I'd probably stay elsewhere next time.

Lovely hotel, great staff, excellent location

I love getting to leave great reviews and The Dunhill and it's staff make it easy to do so. It was a lovely hotel with fantastic, helpful staff. The rooms are comfortable, beds had quality bedding and bathrooms had nice towels and toiletries - everything was very clean and tidy and well appointed. We are at The Ashbury and the food was very nice - I highly recommend the jalapeno potato stack for breakfast, as well as the chorizo and kale omelet.
