A great resort .. from Houston, Texas visiting My fiance in Da es salaam and spent good 4 nights at Giraffe Beach Hotel. Staffs are great and food was great and good breakfast. Will surely spread the words when I get back to USA. Da es salaam has great spot like this for anyone travelling to TZ. Love everything about the beach hotel. Wonderful hospitality.

I wanted this place initially from the Expedia listing and the photos. Overall great place / we ended up back in the area and spent a couple nights here. Outdoor dining on the ocean/sea waterfront was great! Staff was excellent and we enjoyed the pool. The place needs some touch up / the rooms need an overhaul and it's obvious that the finishers in this place either didn't finish or the finish work failed in the rooms and other areas. Easily fixable. Would stay again.

The staff was great. Irene at the front desk was fantastic. So friendly and helpful. She gave me a fruit tray when I was sick. She arranged all of my transport. So nice. Dorcas and Ritha were excellent too. Thomas, a waiter at the restaurant was superb. Mpendo was an excellent housekeeper. Elizabeth was a very good housekeeper too. The food was great at the restaurant, the beach was very nice. My room was really spacious and quiet.

Very clean, relaxing, and amazing dining staff. Reception could use better training however. For example, I wanted to buy water outside the hotel and I was told the only place to buy water was a market two miles away. However while walking I passed by local street vendors selling water just a few yards from the hotel. Also hot water went out of my room on ky final night. I had to call for updates every few hours because reception never proactively updated me. Even when I was promised updates I never got one I even checked out without ever receiving an update on the issue. Dining staff needs to train reception. The dining staff comes to work with their A game. But reception is sleep at the wheel

We were agroup of 5, enjoyed our stay for 8 nights. The hotel was safe, quiet and convenient to most places we needed to visit in Dar Esalaam. We loved the cleanliness of the rooms & hotel in general, a great working AC and having a safe in each room. Breakfast was great, just needs different varieties on different days to avoid monotony (especially when staying for long). We met amazing and helpful staff. Maruzuku and Diana/trainee always welcomed us for breakfast with a smile. They trully love their job and made us feel welcomed. Revina and Kelvin gladly and promptly got whatever we needed especially at the poolside. Prices for food and drinks are reasonable. Thank you Giraffe Hotel for making us feel at home away from home. We shall definately return.

Great beach hotel

Great beach hotel with beautiful garden. Beds are amazingly comfortable. Service really good and efficient.Safe has been fixed within couple of minutes. We had a dinner in the restaurant and food was very good. Breakfast could have with a bit more options but was ok.Coffee very tasty and that was the most important to me. Hotel is on the beach which is been taken care of but when you step a couple of meters away the beach is full of rubbish. But I understand it is a common problem in that part of the world, and hotel manager can not do anything about it. Generally experience was really great, good value for money. Thanks very much Giraffe Beach Hotel.
