Capricorn International Hotel

I didnt like the way the rooms were and the arrow was pointing in different direction .Where the room was and the arrow was wrobg,and we had difficulty finding our room as noone was there to guide us.The surroundings were clean and tidy.

It is an old building in the tropics so i the condition is good. Any issue can be worked out with mgr One desk girl not hospitiable but most were. No working safe in room, so take valuables or lock in guest room. Menu could be improved by expanding. Pool and local birds lovely. Not far from town or beach.

The pool was clean. Staff on the counter did not seam to understand that a customer has rights to be treated with respect if the customer is treating them with respect and not saying the customer is lying

Great location as it’s on Queens street, where there are many restaurants and supermarket. However the club across can get quite noisy. The hotel itself seemed a bit rundown, but what do you expect at this price. Shower doors didn’t close properly, and the lock of the room is just a simple push in lock on the door knob, which to me didn’t see safe at all. We asked for a ride to the airport after checking out as the hotel offers free airport transfers. We checked out at 1030 and asked for a shuttle at 1230, but the reception said since we didn’t book the night before, they couldn’t do it. All we could do was to take the ride at 1100 since someone else had booked a shuttle. I’m happy we still got a ride anyways, but at the same time I don’t understand why it couldn’t be arranged.

The property needs a refurbishment. The rooms need a lampshade for night reading. Taps and plumbing fixtures need repairs. The tiny analog TV in my room looks like it’s straight out of the 70’s era. TV reception was poor. Wifi should be free for paying guests. The electric kettle has brown scum rendering it unfit for hygiene. The bath towels need a bleach soak to remove the horrendous reddish hue. The noise level from the loud thumping music and the supermarket cooling unit was well above my tolerance level. I could not sleep a wink.

It was nice staying at this hotel and a very happy and helpful staff .I recommend to everyone that this is a wonderful hotel with friendly staff

Not very clean, could do with a refurbishment also bedding was very old and tatty!

Clean tidy room, huge bed, lovely ground floor near the pool but not too close, breakfast was included, food reasonable and cheap. Bathrooms need upgrading, but can’t have everything for this price. Shopping centre next door and bus to town. Restaurants around if you want to go out and night clubs too. 👍

Lovely pool - great to use as a bed and use South Sea Cruises throughout the day.

all our 3 superior rooms NOISY alll night from club next door,showers are bad,almost no water.
