Christmas in Bucharest
the Novotel is a nice place, I just didn't expect the parking was going to cost us $18 each day. not a HUGE deal but that's a good bit of a fee for Romania I thought. the room was fine. the shower was fine and the bathroom was ok. having the toilet in a separate room seemed like a nice idea until you had no sink in the toilet room. and had to go to the other bath area with the shower and tub anyway. again, not a huge issue though. internet was good, the food there in the hotel was ok. its commonly ala carte so you need to order a salad or potatoes or whatever sides you wanted for us americans that are used to that being a standard part of the meal you order. the food was a bit pricey also for the average costs in Bucharest. not high by American norms but notably higher than surrounding restaurants by comparison. we went on Christmas eve and as one should expect (brain cramp on my part) the following two days most everything was closed. poor timing on my part. the hotel was definitely worth the cost though I thought overall.

upon arrival, it turned out that the number is reserved for a different name, changed from mine. the trial took up to 20 minutes. it’s not clear what happened one of the spa workers was extremely unpleasant. brunette from reception desk, about forty years old breakfast is monotonous, for a fee.
