Better named The Overlook Hotel.
Paper thin walls, noisy neighbors, ho hum menu in dining room and bar.

Relax for a couple of days
Hotel is well kept being it historic venue, staff is well trained and eager to make your stay pleasant. No elevator to upper floors, but staff was right there to help with bags. Meeting folks from across the USA at fireplace in evening provided some good conversations. Historic sites nearby provide worthwhile day trips.

6/10 Good

The best part of the stay was the sunset.
Per their website I called ahead to make a reservation and requested Terrace. Told tersley it was unavailable and oply option was indoor dining room. OK. Arrived on-time and given a poor table in middle of room. Two waitresses kept bikering - "it's yours" - needless to say we felt unwelcome. Busboy was kind and brought us water but after 15 mins an exasperated but nice young woman came to introduce herself as our server. They seemed very understaffed.

Great location
Fantastic service by Nina and Olivia! Fun at the swimming pool. Dinner was delicious. It's an historic hotel and parts of it need a little TLC, but overall it was a lovely stay with a beautiful view of the valley.

Unsatisfactory
The summit inn was not at all what I expected. For the price it is definitely not worth it. The bathroom in the room was not clean, soap scum build up in the shower, toilet paper holder was broken, door wouldn’t shut properly, paint chipping off the doors, stains on carpet and curtains. The best part was the outdoor pool.

Very nice historic hotel, clean
Cool historic hotel. My wife enjoyed touring the hotel and the large, beautiful grounds. Great views. Great lobby. Check in was easy. The staff was friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and spacious. wifi was good. Great location for trips to Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob and Ohiopyle State park. The hotel restaurant's food was mediocre (underseasoned and not memorable). The place felt a bit tired and needs some remodeling work.
