Restaurant is really good, and coffee great as well. shower blasts scalding hot water followed by cold, repeat...very difficult to take a shower. At this price excellent service, clean and full amenities expected, but not fully delivered. Beautiful place.

Don’t come her if you have young children. They act like you are a total pain to have stay at the hotel. The servers at the restaurant are pretentious and think that a 5 year old should have perfect manners. Also, they preach about saving water and give you 10 pieces of silverware and 10 plates for a meal just to make it seem fancy.

We stayed in a two bed room (2 double beds). We decided to sleep in the bed next to the windows. Unfortunately the fitted bottom sheet was too small for the mattress and constantly came untucked. Sort of strange for an otherwise very nice hotel. This was our third stay and we will no doubt stay here again.

The staff was terrific. The hotel was clean. The location is very serene. Free breakfast was good. The bed was not too comfortable. The bathroom comes with a small mirror (imagine 3 adult women fighting to put makeup on) and no hooks to hang anything while taking a shower. Amenities consist of only a pool. My biggest issue; Costa Rica is very hot and humid; the open cabana style restaurant needs as many ceiling fans as possible to keep guests cool and comfortable, instead of the solely fan available to cool off the whole restaurant. I was sweating my butt off.

The hotel is beautiful and the rooms feel very luxurious. The place is neatly tucked away in the Costa Rican jungle and save for the ocasional roar of a truck speeding down the highway, you feel far away from everything. A powerful thunderstorm tucked us in at night as I prepared for a delicious night’s rest. When I lied down in bed, though, the surprise wasn’t so good. Stiff pillows and uncomfortable beds made for a fitful night’s rest (not to mention that my room had the name of a fallen angel). I tossed and turned most of the night trying to find a comfortable position and couldn’t find it. In the morning I got up early to find a shower with little water pressure. It seems that Cuna del Angel was all facade.
