Way below expectation
Intercontinental have a luxury image worldwide. As soon as you step into Intercontinental Cairo, you will understand that its an old property. The elevators, stairs, way to the swimming pool view one bedroom cabanas is very confusing. There is no elevator for the rooms facing swimming pool, so kindly take care before booking. Cabinets and washroom is broken from most of the sides and is in terrible condition. I tried to make tea and when i poured water into the cup, there were ants swimming which is just bizarre. People are ready to help you even if you tell them thousand times that you don't need because they will keep roaming around you to get money. When I took the invoice and opened it at airport, I saw they have charged me transportation charges of around $20 out of no where while transport to and from hotel was pre-arranged for me by my client. No response yet from the hotel while i have sent emails twice. Totally disappointed.
