Office was closed when we arrived even though we had a reservation and it was only 7 pm. With 100 degree plus temps air conditioning was a must but it sounded like a jet engine starting every time it came on AND off....all night long. The long whining each time was terrible. The floor-length drapes covered the front unit and when we raised them to expose the AC vents, two spiders shot out. We were tired and the beds seemed reasonably clean so we stayed, but pillow shams are no substitute for an actual pillow case. Someone running a motel should know the difference. This property is definitely not in rentable condition. Hole in bathroom ceiling, tape over uncovered outlet next to shower, unclean bathroom floor, no tissues or cups, and best of all, a pink leopard-pattern robe hanging on back of bathroom door. :-( Apparently the place is being renovated (and will be re-branded Pendleton Hotel) but it is NOT in rentable condition right now and should NOT be on Expedia. I should have known better than to book a non-refundable rate through them, but we were driving and I wanted to ensure that we had a place to stay. Woe be to me. Lesson learned. After finally settling in and feeling like we could sleep, we woke up to hammering at 7:30 am and by 8:30 am very LOUD drilling!!! All we wanted was a clean place to sleep that wouldn't cost an arm and a leg. Honestly, we might have gotten better sleep and felt better at a rest area.
