Construction noise began most weekdays at around 7.30am and made the room unbearable to be in after 8am. Drilling and hammering from the building that adjoined the hotel was a constant throughout the stay.
The Hotel will say it couldn't be helped as the people doing the construction had a permit - but they offered no solution, no amenities (even earplugs would have been welcome) or offered any sort of compensation for the constant noise.
Apart from the noise the Hotel was OK, breakfast was nice but it was a slightly strange procedure where you were allowed to select two items from an a la carte menu. Coffee and juice were self service in a nice enough breakfast area. Staff attention was mixed although generally polite,
Location is great, right on the river and easy walking distant to everything. Rooms are small - I was allocated a windowless room, which I think is common in this hotel. Felt a bit cramped, but had all the basics that you would expect in a three star hotel (definitely not four star).
Overall, I wouldn't stay here again - though maybe it would be better without the constant drilling?
