Azul was great! I've been to many resorts and I would definitely recommend based on price point. They've got a great adults on pool/bar and FREE cabanas (if you get there early enough haha) The resort isn't huge so its easy to get around. The food was good - there was always something for you to eat even if you didn't enjoy others. Most people are complaining about the beach - do your research!!! It is not the resorts fault, there is a huge issue on this side of Mexico so if you're looking for something spectacular, you won't get it. Even all of Playa & Tulum are having these issues. Would recommend & go again :)

Let me start by saying that we travelled with a large group of 12, so these issues were not isolated to just ourselves. I suggest that if you are looking at staying here, you stay away. Your money will be well spent elsewhere. Nothing comes of the issues, just "oh sorry". Pros:BB at the adult swim up bar was amazing. She works very hard and does a great job ensuring everyone has a great time and is well taken care of. Susana our housekeeping for our room was amazing and was very sweet and kind and did a great job. The view from our honeymoon suite was amazing! It ends here. Cons: For two sporadic days two rooms in our group, one being us had no water in the morning. Not drinking water, literal running water in our rooms in the morning. Meaning, you could not shower, flush the toilet, brush your teeth, you know the basics. We tried to call the front desk over and over and no one would answer any of our calls. The water finally came back on, for one of the days. But, even by 9am yesterday the water was still not on in our room. Just in time for departure, I guess. When we spoke to the front desk about it upon check out, we were told "sorry, but there's nothing we can do for you." Awesome. The food was sub par at best. Wait times, of an hour. Messed up massage bookings. One of our rooms smelled like sewage, bad. Leaking coffee pots not replaced. Asked for a blanket 3 nights in a row at the front desk with nothing. The beach, don't even try. Restaurant service, awful. Stay away.

The service was extremely slow almost 2 hours to get ice. You could barely get service around the pools. No outside food. You had to go inside to eat and then wait a minimum of an hour for food . They had tequila in the Grey Goose vodka and other vodka bottles and acted like i was insane when i called them out. I only drink vodka with soda water so you can definitely tell the difference. I paid for premium liqour and couldn't even get vodka. I paid for an ocean view room and did not get one. I could see the ocean if i went out on the balcony and looked to my right over the trees. We lost at least a full day of sunshine just waiting for room service. Very disappointing for what we paid. Nice rooms and good food when you got it.
