    A delight

This hotel is a delight to stay in. It is comfy and relaxing. I would call it old-fashioned, and I mean that in it's best sense; the people are lovely and I felt like I had been there for much longer than our actual stay.

We arrived at the hotel to at 2.30pm to be told too late to have any thing to eat until dinner, we were told only option was the pub. Dropped our things off by the time we got to the pub that had closed, got back and pointed out we had received a welcome letter They had a wake on but we could go to the pub by the time we got

Good hotel, shame about the wifi

We had a good experience, hotel was nice and the room very good and very clean with a good bathroom. Great views and the garden area is wonderful. Only downside, and its significant, is the quality of wifi, which was awful. The pub next door's wifi was excellent so its clearly not down to supply. We didn't eat at the hotel but the food looked good.

This is a lovely old building and in a wonderful position looking out to sea. It's almost a great hotel, but not quite. We had a sea view room and it was clean with a lovely bathroom with bath and shower. It was let down by the uncomfortable mattress. The hospitality tray was frugal. The breakfast at extra cost, was good but there were no croissants or pastries. The staff are young and friendly but could do with some training. All small points but given how much we paid I had expected better.

Great location and Staff, poor Room Experience.

Staff were amazing in the whole, very professional and hard working. The new lady in the bar on Saturday afternoon could have done with some support as she was clearly out of her depth. Food was good. Location superb. The room was a huge disappointment. Room 62, the sash cord on the window was cut so the window didn’t open. It was extremely hot in the room with no air con, reception located a fan which helped but I don’t expect to pay £180 per night for a room that was south facing and essentially a hot room where I had to wedge open the door with a suitcase to get some coolness into the room. I couldn’t wait to leave Sunday morning to cool down. The mattress on the bed has seen better days and I suggest is due for renewal or turning as the edges have succumbed to wear and tear and at times lend themselves, given their angle in helping you vacate the bed rather quickly ie you are at risk of falling out. I’ve had a better night sleep at a Premier inn compared to room 62. Of course, the hotel itself is 100% better than a Premier Inn. I would also as a management team on site rethink the route to the area where our room was located. It was a hot weekend and we had to pass the kitchen area that of course given the weather had the doors open, and rightly so. It wasn’t the best experience passing through.

Old fashioned hotel with tired decor and facilities which need a refresh. Gardens are pretty.
