A bit disappointing all around
This hotel has a veneer of elegance, but I was not impressed. The room was nice, the sheets and pillows were comfortable, and everything was clean, so it was by no means terrible. But my room as absolutely freezing (and I normally prefer 68ºF rooms) and the thermostat was ancient and confusing (there were no numbers, just smiley face and the dial just kept turning with a red and blue light seemingly randomly lighting up separately and together). In addition, when I went to flush the toilet, the flush button fell off into the wall. Not wanting a plumber in my room all night, I made do, but that is annoying. Finally, I ordered room service and when I got the bill I found they had double billed me. In addition, they added a £1 donation on automatically with no notice on the menu or when I ordered. I absolutely hate when companies try and get me to donate for them. I donate to the causes I want, and they should do the same. I stay in Belfast about every other week (at least in normal times) and will continue to prefer the Titanic, Grand Central, or Europa for when I am there.

Absolutely Fabulous.
On my trip to Belfast, I decided to come a day earlier but unfortunately The Fitzwilliam had no availability so had to stay across the road at Jury's Inn, which was nice but nothing compared to The Fitzwilliam. I had to check out of my room at Jury's Inn at midday and check in at The Fitzwilliam was not until 3pm. I went at 12pm to ask if it was possible just o leave my luggage until I could check in. Immediately the girl behind reception (I believe her name was Chloe) said my room was ready and I could check in, this was amazing. Chloe was polite, respectful and unbelievably helpful. I went up to my room (404) and walked in to probably one of the most beautiful rooms I have ever had a hotel stay in. It looked exactly as advertised on the website with a massive Superkingsize bed with beautiful white linen. The room was exactly as advertised. Fabulous bathroom with separate bath and shower. Little candle by bath with matches, umbrella in room incase of bad weather. The attention to details was superb. I paid extra to have my fabulous breakfast delivered to my room in the morning. The Fitzwilliam is a special place and will be my hotel of choice when visiting Belfast in the future.

Poor
Worrying unclean.
I'd like to start this by saying that issues were raised to hotel management and reception before reviewing but ignored.

The property is extremely clean and quiet, with very comfortable beds and pillows. It has every amenity that I have ever seen inconceivably in the room( and some like the candle and matches in the bath area). Turndown service... I mean it was completely exceptional. Also a great location with pubs and restaurants right across the street
