Room is massive. We walked in thinking it was going to be a small room but it’s really big, very spacious. The bed is unbelievably comfy. Recommend the stay as it’s a one minute walk from town centre. Service is very good and people there are lovely.

Bedrooms are in need of a refresh, not as nice as the pictures suggested. Expect noise until about 10pm from the pub. Bed was not great, sagging and lumpy. Nobody was to be seen in the morning for checkout or breakfast so not sure how that works, I went and got breakfast in town.

Absolutely lovely place to stay. Staff super helpful. Fantastic value for money! Gorgeous terrace outside which is lit at night and so pretty! Beds comfy and bathroom well appointed. It is noisy, but that is not the hotel's fault. It is in the centre of Newbury and there is traffic. Bit of renovation to be done outside, but I guess they'll raise the prices when this is fixed. Didn't bother me that the paintwork was peeling outside.

Bedbugs
The staff made sure I either arrive before they close up or that they have made arrangements for me to check in. The room is seemingly clean though ridden with moths and bedbugs which I have been their food for the night keeping me up the whole night.
