This is a lovely hotel, made even better by its staff. The staff are wonderful, so friendly, so helpful, it made everything great. The hotel has been recently renovated so everything looks so good, the room was large with a big sofa, bathroom all new and clean, restaurants and bars were amazing, location is good, a sort walk into Bowness, it's hard to find anything wrong. There are a couple of things that were frustrating, you have to walk outside to get to the spa, not the end of the world when it's lovely and warm, not so nice when it's 2 degrees and raining! Other frustrating things were the bed, a little firm for my tastes, and then the last is a common thing these days, no hooks to hang things, what acted as a wardrobe wasn't really large enough to hang things and was far too short to hang long things, which is why it would have been handy to have some hooks, it's such a minor thing but very frustrating! That said it didn't spoil what was a lovely break away, go there if you can!
