As the saying goes, you get what you pay for.
However, there should be a minimum of comfort and cleanliness, especially cleanliness, with a hotel.
This was unfortunately not the case with Hotel Da Tito.
The Bad:
- The room had an awful smell. It took more than half an hour with all windows wide open (room and bathroom) to get a bit of the smell out, but it still was quite present.
- The bedside table had some nasty big marks on it, we had to clean it with a soaked towel to use it.
- The bathroom shower had quite some mold (fungi)
- The mattress was hard (but that is a subjective thing)
The Good:
- The staff was friendly
- The room was big and had three beds, one king size and 2 twin beds.
- The breakfast was OK (served by the staff, bread and croissant, butter and jam, coffee and tea)
- the parking (5 euros per night and 7 euros for the day if you want to leave it the day you check-out)
- The area is OK, there is some cheap food in walking distance. I went late night and had no issues.
My wife is very picky with cleanliness, and she was not at all satisfied.
I cannot recommend this hotel, you could probably get a better experience for the same price or a bit more expensive. I wouldn't come back a second time.
If you're with some friends and you want to get low on the price by splitting, maybe you could consider, but only if you don't care too much about cleanliness.
