I always stay here on my to and away from the Outer Banks. I love that my dogs can stay with me. The employees are always friendly and the hotel is very quite. The bed is very comfortable, The hotel has a shuttle that will take you to the mall or casino. Plenty of shopping and eating near by.

Check in took 5 min too long. No one was monitoring the front desk it seemed. The receptionist finally came out and the check in went fairly quickly. However, I get to the room and notice rose petals on the floor and no bed sheets. So clearly a room that already been used. Went back downstairs and got a new room. She apologized for the inconvenience. The elevators and hallway wreaked of weed. I don’t know how effectively that can be managed but it was a bit off putting. The heating unit in the room was super loud so it was hard to sleep. I called for a late check out (between 1-130) because the weather was pretty bad. The receptionist asked if I was a Bonvoy member, to which I said no. She put me on hold and came back to say they couldn’t extend my stay. I asked if I could pay for another day. She said no and that they were completely booked. I then look on their website and Hotels.com where rooms were still available for that day. I didn’t feel like fighting it so I just left. Going outside the hotel staff hadn’t laid salt down on the side walk. We were in the throes of an ice storm so it was unreasonably slippery. Overall not the greatest experience.

Our A/C Heat unit was broken and it was blowing out cold air threw out the night and it was snowing outside so me being Anemic was freezing, I called the front desk and they did switch us to a new room but the new room had a wall thermostat but the thermostat only allow you to choose A/C or Heat but when I clicked Heat thats it you can’t turn it up or down so I was still cold
