Worst places to stay in Italy and Horrible service
I don’t normally write bad reviews but I’m in the middle of my vacation writing this to help others to not make this mistake. The owner called me repeatedly on WhatsApp not including text messages to try and get us to right a good review for her Hotel. The location is good but make sure you don’t tell the truth about the hotel rooms disrepairs and the terrible food. Daniela the rest of our trip a nightmare. We couldn’t feel comfortable using the bathroom because things were broken and it made loud noises whenever the water would run or the toilet would flush. The owner bad mouthed other guests on our first night. Also suggested a terrible overpriced restaurant to eat at... We would never stay there again. Pay a little more and get a better place. This deal is not worth it.

Overall a good stay
Great location, clean room. Everything else is not that great. Shower head is at the waist level, impossible to adjust due to the fixture being broken. The bathroom door scraping the floor, so you wake up everyone if you try to go to the bathroom at night. Fridge is tiny and barely cool with no room for anything else but hotel's items they want you to buy. And those stairs... my goodness, so tight that it's a nightmare to carry your suitcase in or out.

Friendly hosts in an outstanding location!
We were so happy with our decision to stay at City House in Rome. Daniela and Mario were wonderful hosts and very accommodating to our family (including two young daughters). The location cannot be beat- it is literally a 2 minute walk to the Pantheon! There was a little bit of noise at night since it's in the middle of the city, but that did not detract from our overall experience.

Great location and value for money with the breakfast included.

Location, location, location
City House is in a fantastic location - next door to Santa Maria Maddelena church, half a block from the Pantheon, about 4 blocks from each of Piazza Novena, the Spanish Steps and the Trevi Fountain, and in its own small plaza with several good cafes right outside the door. All of this makes up for the slight inconveniences of the apartment itself. The hosts are friendly and accommodating and the room was clean and spacious, but the beds were quite hard and the shower had several issues (slippery floor, leaking door, no anchor for the handheld shower head). This is not a "hotel" but a few nicely restored rooms in a very old building. Visitors must be prepared for a little inconvenience: taxis must drop you half a block away because no cars are allowed on the street, and you must climb narrow stairs up one flight to the rooms. Still, in a city where location is everything, I would recommend this accommodation.
