Great location for the Utilita Arena. If you book a deluxe twin room with a view don’t expect luxury, twin beds or a view or you’ll be disappointed. Room was extremely hot and windows don’t open, luckily there was a noisy air conditioning unit and a fan. Beds were comfy and clean. It was okay, especially as we’d booked with Clubcard vouchers. If we’d paid the full amount we might not have been so accepting. The staff did their best to help sort twin beds.

The location of the hotel is spot on for central Cardiff. No parking onsite anymore so had to park in an NCP car park 3 min walk away but cost £30 for 24 hours. Hotel was clean so was room but needed some TLC. Bed was comfortable Only one lift working when we were there so ended up taking the stairs. The hotel has 10 floors. Staff available at reception Overall stay is was good and comfortable for a 3 star hotel

The room was clean and comfortable but there is no air con and the room got very hot, the shower was stuck on the hottest setting so was impossible to use

Staff were lovely, fan left on to ensure room cool when checking in, big room and bathroom, lots of room, desk and chair Feedback: Only one lift in use which only closed doors after multiple press of the floor button. Curtains in the room did not close / join together letting in lots of light, also hall light on all the time making light under the door. No door lock only the digital lock which could be unlocked if someone had code (as a female traveling alone this doesnt feel secure). lots of people in and out of their rooms which when their doors closed rattled my door too

Parking was an issue but I had a great stay at this hotel. The room was clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the staff were friendly and always ready to help. The location was convenient, with easy access to nearby shops and transport. Overall, it offered good value for money, and I would definitely stay here again.

Very basic accommodation, but a good location. Room had little ventilation, water pressure was poor, and we had to ask at the front desk for a TV remote.

The hotel is ten mins walk from the main train station. It is undergoing refurbishment. The frontage looks ok but no-one on reception. Eventually someone turned up and was helpful enough. The lift needs a lot of TLC. The room locks have been changed recently and was difficult to open - the code hadn't gone thru the internet apparently. The TV and handset is difficult to operate with codes needed for netflix and other attachments which is not needed. What is required is a TV with Freeview that is simple to change channels on. Although the bed was two pushed together, it was actually quite comfortable. The shower was nice albeit it took a little time for the hot water to come thru. The room itself was spacious enough to have another piece of furniture in such as a chest of drawers.

Arrived quite late but reception was very friendly and booking in was easy. Nice sized room and bathroom. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. Drinks and biscuits were provided. Very handy location for carpark (NCP) and a short walk to the stadium/castle/city centre. Checking out was easy and quick. We were even given a take away breakfast box. Thank you to Mina and all the team. We will definitely stay again.

We stayed here because the prices were better than just about anywhere else in central Cardiff for the weekend, so we were willing to forgive a lot, but unfortunately we were still pretty let down. The staff on site were very nice and trying their best, but the facilities (reception, hallways, elevators) are all very rundown and dingy. The room was clean enough to stay in but a lot of wear and tear was very evident on the furniture, with an old battered TV and uncomfortable beds. Also there's no central air and you can't open windows, so it gets stuffy and hot fast. Not the worst hotel I've ever stayed in but I definitely wish I'd paid a bit extra for somewhere nicer.

Firstly the only reason i havent rated this as awful, is because the staff where lovely and allowed me to check in nearly an hour early I also liked the local art through the building The hotel is right next door to the train tracks, i didnt pick up on this till after checked in 9 digit code to get into the room The TV was on a desk in the corner of the room, but the tv didnt turn enough to allow to see it from the bed, it wasnt problem as the tv didnt actually work Light in the bathroom didnt work There was a gap under the room door which met the landing light show into the room all night The bed was hands down the most uncomfortable bed ive ever slept on, the “double” bed was two single beds bolted together of different heights, so sleeping in the middle of the bed wasnt an option. It was a kingsize quilt cover with a double quilt inside so most of the duvet cover felt empty. I chose to sleep on the right side, the mattress was very uncomfortable to the fact i had to take painkillers to be able to get up and about in the morning. A lamp would have been nice, the options where lights on or off, and the room was so bright it felt like a constant interrogation The room was warm, there was a fan, however while it worked it only worked on a swivel, so intermittent cooling was the inly option I had arranged to meet friends at 10:30, i normally chill in the room and read, i changed those plans to check out at 7am as trains woke me up at 6am

Good location as it was next to the arena where I was attending a concert, and short distance to the city centre with the mall. The hotel needs maintains, only one elevator working and 10 floors. There is several doors in the hallways to get to the rooms, they are slamming and making loud noise when you use them, they should do something about that so it’s not so loud when using them and waking up the whole floor when going in and out. The staff was friendly. A good thing is the size of the room as mine had a lot of space, the bed was also big and comfortable. But I only slept on one side and not in the middle, as it is 2 beds put together. So I don’t know how comfortable it is to sleep two people and fall in the middle. In my room there was no soap in the shower as the bottle wasn’t refilled when cleaned, so I had to step out of the tub/shower and use the bottle that was stuck to the sink when taking a shower. There was also a stain on the side of the nightstand table looking like blood. No air condition in the room(no windows to open), lucky it was not in the worst summer hot period as that would not work staying there. It was a small fan on the nightstand next to the bed, it was full of dust inside and had dust coming all over the carpet and on the bed sheets. There was also dust pieces in the roof hanging down. This is small and easy things the hotel cleaning staff should clean and sort out. All in all, i will not be coming back if visiting Cardiff again.

The room spelt strongly of mould and damp. The show cubicle leaked water all over the floor. The bar was closed at 10:30 when we tried to use it rather than 11:30pm as advertised and no apology was offered room service with a tray charge of £5. The bed was comfortable.
