Relaxing beach resort
We had a wonderful time. Whole resort was kept clean and well looked after, including the apartments. Staff were really friendly and helpful. Quality of breakfast and dinner was also very good. Resort was not crowded and we found the beach to be the focal point. Happy to revisit and recommend.

Hotel has a great location and ambience, spoilt by service, restaurant and poor maintenance of the beach. Pros… - Great ambience - quiet location - comfortable room Cons… - Claim to have 3 restaurants, but they all serve the same food, which is quite ordinary for a claimed 5 star. - Lousy restaurant service from staff that don’t seem to care ( got orders wrong on 2 separate occasions & didn’t seem to be concerned. - Great beach which appears to be clean when seen from the hotel. However, tidal area covered with rubbish that hotel staff don’t seemed too concerned to clean up.

This resort is beautiful. The private beach area was gorgeous, the pool is amazing, the whole resort was lovely and clean. I highly recommend it for a pleasant, pretty, postcard-looking, quiet stay. The staff were very friendly, however I’m not sure if it was due to being off peak season, but they didn’t seem well trained in some aspects. The pool bar didn’t always have someone serving, and on one of the days the person serving didn’t know how to make drinks or even pour wine and said we could only order water or coke as he wasn’t trained. I felt bad for him (and us). The egg maker at breakfast would forget our order every single morning. The massage was cancelled 5 minutes before the appointment. Just little things like that were a little frustrating but as they were so friendly it was hard to be annoyed. When I did get my massage it was incredible! The breakfast buffet was decent, the 2 open restaurants were good but I would have loved to try the fine dining restaurant however this was closed the whole time. The rooms were big and nice. I did notice that the sheets weren’t changed on the day that we asked them to be changed (there were small holes in it so I knew that they were the same sheets). Apart from that very clean rooms and resort. The location was on the quiet side near the Four Seasons which I really liked, however around a 30-40 minute drive to town and most attractions. Overall I enjoyed my stay and I would go back, I feel very relaxed. 4/5.

We really enjoyed our stay there. It was quiet , the staff was extremely helpful and polite. The buffet breakfast is fantastic. Even there is a renovation ongoing , it did not affect us at all. The room was clean and huge. I would advise to rent a car as the resort is far from town or Cenang. Overall my family and myself had a wonderful relaxing holiday. Will definetly come back.

The staff at Tanjung Rhu resort deserve 5 stars for friendliness. The resort gets 5 stars too for the spectacular beach front view, planting and landscaping. Parts of the resort need upgrading as it’s looking tired. The standard room is spacious, beds comfortable, however, furniture need replacement. With that said it is probably still the best place to get a good chill time.
