I have choosed the hotel especially for the swimming pool and spa but they were both so old. Pool was too small and not clean. Steam room was out of use and sauna was not heat well, i could stay hours without any problem.. you should see the changing rooms.. i believe last renovation was around 1960s… Rooms and other facilities were so old…

The room was ok, bed and pillows too hard. Main issue had been experienced with the evening meal, my wife had steak, it was very chewy and grisly, i tried it, it was tough. chicken was ok, nothing to write home about, service very slow, staff were run ragged, seriously lacking in staff, should have had at least another two staff. We waited for drinks, they didn't have time to give us the bill, i paid in the morning, reception gave us a £25 reduction for the inconvenience and poor food, we should have had the meals removed. Other tables were sending food back due to being cold. i am a very seasoned traveler for business and pleasure, i very rarely make a complaint or give issues with a Hotel. Regards David
