I love staying at Ramat Rachel when in Israel during the summer. It’s beautiful, great views from big windows on hills overlooking Bethlehem and generous food. It’s a 20 minute bus ride to old city and most s

Staff were professional and friendly. Breakfast was abundant. Loved Richard the omelette chef. Pool was great for laps but extremely crowded on Thursday afternoon and Erev Shabbat. Wonderful base for exploring Jerusalem- easy bus to the city center.

Food is great
It was weird not to have coffee or tea at the restaurant after dinner.
A vending machine for water and snacks would be great to have there too.

Good and affordable
The Ramat Rahel Kibbutz location is a great place to stay if you do not want to be downtown. We enjoyed the views and peaceful surroundings. However, the hotel is rather run down, the beds are not luxurious but decent enough for a short stay. The breakfast was very good, but the wait staff were rude. I would have liked to see the pool open earlier on Sunday, since it only opened at noon, we were not able to use the gym or pool on Sunday.

Nice staff.
Not such a nice facility.
The pictures looked nice, but the actual facility was not even close to the expectations.

Google maps is outdated so it was slightly difficult to find...otherwise the site is amazing! The staff is kind and helpful. The resort was imaculate and the club (pool, courts, fitness center) is amazing! It is about 20 min from the old city so dont plan to walk it.... but a short drive if you have a car. View of Bethlehem and Jerusalem is wonderful. Definitely recommend!
They didn't have a basketball to use so bring your own if you plan to shoot hoops!

The grounds are beautiful and homely however the services are not to my standards. Room rarely cleaned in the entire 7 days stay apart from change of towels.
Same breakfast for the entire 7 days, gosh...

We were extremely disappointed with this property. We had booked four rooms and unfortunately our daughter could not make the trip due to a medical emergency. I emailed the property to cancel with ample time and I offered to provide medical proof and I was ignored. After arriving I explained again what happened and they stated that I canceled the room which was already paid for and I should have canceled the other room but now it was too late to cancel. No effort was made to make this right even with a medical emergency. They were also very disorganized with admitting us to breakfast and claimed that we had not pre-paid. THat took another trip to the front desk where the food staff was told that we did ion fact pre-pay and we should have been admitted. We also found the hotel to be lacking in many ways- garbage in the hallway wasn't removed, the pool area was crowded and no one was removing garbage, etc. I would strongly discourage anyone from booking this hotel. We were totally unsatisfied.
