Pros- staff communicated well and were friendly. Nice mosques. Good wifi. Reviews say location is good for sightseeing in Mombasa but Friday at 930pm and almost everything is closed. This was not an inviting place to spend a weekend vacation even if you want to be close to the city center imho.
I have 4 major issues with the property and a few smaller concerns.
Mold-the first room i was given had large amounts of mold in the shower ceiling. When i called and pointed it out,the receptionist sent her colleague to come check it. When he came he immediately knew that it was mold but said that the hotel was full and that they wouldn't be able to move me until the next day. Eventually after threatening to leave the hotel they made arrangements for me to move rooms to nextdoor (301to302)I wonder how long has mold been there and if the room will befixed
Bugs - i saw 3 cockroaches in one night I was only able to kill one. I spent part of my night looking to see where the roaches were coming from which was not fun. They spray but not well
Breakfast time - on Saturday morning they have breakfast from 6:30-9:30 which is way to early to end breakfast in my opinion. Extended hours until 1030 or 11am would be preferred.
The AC- worked and it was set to 16 C. Howver the remote was broken so i couldn't raise the temperature or turn it off. So I spent the night very cold until finally I removed the key card so the electricity would turn off which made the temperature much more comfortable
