Service was mixed.
The room was quiet, bed was really comfortable, WiFi was good, room was clean and in good condition. My problems result from poor practices with regard to not daily cleaning. First, I ran out of shower gel. Second, they didn’t refresh the coffee pods. They do room cleaning every other day. That’s fine but they need to at least go in the room to check on shower products and refresh the coffee stuff. That’s minimal. Most hotels do this. It’s sucks not having coffee and shower gel. I probably won’t go back. Too expensive for this poor quality service when the hotel tries to save a buck.

After a long 10 hour drive from Florida I arrived at the hotel to get checked in. The manager checked me in and assigned my room. Once my room was assigned I went up and realized the room was still dirty and house keeping had not cleaned it. I proceeded downstairs to ask for another room or to get mine cleaned in which i was okay waiting for. Once downstairs I was met with a line of people trying to get their rooms they purchased as well. I was told they had over booked the hotel and did not have any other rooms available. I was also denied housekeeping due to them leaving for the day. I asked for a solution and I was then told by the front desk clerk that if I did not want to stay in that room then I would have to find my own hotel room for the night. I called around and was able to find another hotel an additional 30 minutes away. I was given a incomplete form that would pay for my stay for the night and upon arrival at the new hotel I was instructed that the form was missing important information and if they were unable to contact the aloft hotel in Chappell hill I would have to return to get the information required. Luckily contact was made and I had a place to lay my head for the night. Due to the new hotel being farther away it caused a huge inconvenience for myself and the tight schedule I had to work with. I also did not have a place to stay for the second night either so in between breaks I was scrounging looking for hotels with availability. I have always been a fa

Disappointing First Visit to Aloft Chapel Hill
First time at Aloft in Chapel Hill & as our family was heading to a Tarheel basketball game , we were eager to check-in & change clothes for our adventure. The front desk was understaffed & ill equipped to handle the crowds hoping to do the same as us. We were told our rooms were unavailable & could not check in until after 4:30 which was unacceptable. One room came available & our family quickly changed for our evening. When we returned to ask about our 2nd room we were told only one room was reserved. Clearly our showed 2 rooms reserved. The Aloft Hotel’s computer did not. Reservation’s clerk found us a room but with our time restraints trying to make our event, it was too little too late. This is a hotel which should be seasoned& prepared for a college basketball crowd on game day. Our family was unimpressed with the service. Will throw out a positive to two staff members-their maintenance manager was friendly & kind. Regret I didn’t get his name- & the bartender who also could have used some help post game was responsive & energetic trying to meet the demands. His name was Larry & they need to give him a raise! He worked hard!
