Lots of improvement
First time staying here but have spent hundreds of nights in Guangzhou hotels. But I wasn't that impressed. There are a number of problems I noticed
1. To go to your room you need to use 2 lifts. One from the lobby to the 5th floor and then another one to your floor.
2. Hotel is feeling tired. Definitely needs a freshen up.
3. Probably the biggest problem is staff. They are next to useless. Getting a taxi is made more difficult with them. They can't speak any English and don't help with where you are going. Even when it's written in chinese.I've never found this in any other Guangzhou hotel in the past. In general it feels like their first day.
3. If you receive a parcel, no one will tell you it's there. No slip in your room. No call. Nothing. This isn't normal in China.
4. Breakfast is pretty average. Same bland food as even the cheap hotels.
On the positive the location is great. Close to heaps of good restaurants and shops.
