Worst customer experience
The check-in experience was one of the worst and it didn’t help that the front desk staff was super rude. We specifically booked a room with two beds and they had us moving around from room to room because they didn’t know what room had two beds. We finally got our room on the fourth attempt, thanks to the bellboy who insisted to the front desk to give us the room we eventually stayed in. The room itself was ok but the hotel could use an update. To get a towel at the pool you need a ticket you get at check in and if you forgot it or in the case of some of my friends that didn’t get it, you are out of luck, and you’ll just have to air dry. And you better hope it’s not 10pm (closing time) they will literally kick you out, they shut the lights off in the area at 9:50 and yelled at everyone there to leave. I’m not sure how safe the hotel is because my friends that were staying in other floors experienced a sketchy man just standing in the hallways, they got freaked so went to the others room on a different floor for a while then returned to see if the coast was clear. Our final interaction with front desk staff was also a memorable one, we checked out and wanted to have breakfast before we left so we asked if we could leave our luggage there while we did that and they wanted to charge us 20 reals. Never have I encountered a hotel staff so unwilling to help guests, just to point out we were a group of 10 people in their 30s and we all experienced this horrible customer service.

2/10 Poor

The hotel exceeded our expectations. The hotel itself is beautiful, the room is beautiful and well laid out with a beautiful view of the ocean through a private patio with outdoor furniture and hammock. We loved the service and the location is just at the beginning of the Main Street so it’s close to everything. The beds are comfortable, the A/C is great and the bathroom is comfortable and very clean.

6/10 Good

The property has a good location. There are numerous repairs throughout the property that are not complete. During my stay as I was in the room, the maintenance drill a hole into my shower without notification and called to turn off the water. They started glueing pipes and the smell was too much and I asked to change rooms. it was my last day and I was trying to have a nap.

4/10 Fair

Keep away from this hotel.
The hotel is out dated and not well maintained. I had to switch room twice because there was construction happening on the floor I was assigned and the second room assigned was extremely dirty. This is definitely closer to a 2.5 star hotel, not a 4.

Crowded and line ups, but very friendly staff
This place is way over crowded, 1h long line ups on the wknd for check-in and for breakfast. If you arrive at 9am for breakfast there is no place to seat and you to to wait. Very noisy hotel and kids screaming everywhere. Also doors have no insulation so you wake up from the slightest noise in the corridors, or even running water from next door room. Cheap price but poor service. Also, do not get the room of the last floor, 18th floor, since it is next door to the kids playroom, gym and pool (all on the same 18th floor). The staff is very kind and friendly! But hotel administration is "lacking"

10/10 Exceptional

Absolutely the best!!! I went on a family trip, there was 14 of us including teens, elderly and children. The hotel is a couple blocks from the beach, we feel extremally safe walking back and forth even at night, we also found the buss station to go to the mall and the Cristo Redentor, dozens of stores, pharmacies, bars around the hotel. The staff is amazing the breakfast is excellent, the top pool is breathtaking. The only reason that I might not come back is because I love to try different hotels when I travel, but I always look for the reviews, so I really hope that this review helps your decision because you will not regret. THE BEST!!!!
