We had a lovely stay at Grandvilla Heights and really enjoyed our time there. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. The only downside was that we were allocated a room on the third floor with an attic-style layout. While it offered plenty of space, the sloping ceiling meant we had to be careful not to bump our heads, which was a bit inconvenient. Overall, it was a pleasant stay, and we would still recommend the property.

The rooms are always very clean, with all the expected hospitality items. There's usually plenty of space in the hotel car park so no worries about parking. The staff are very friendly and helpful. This is primarily a wedding venue and the facilities, organisation and location for weddings was very good. However, while we were having the wedding speeches and meal, there were decorators painting the corridor between the event room and the toilets - there were no 'wet paint' signs, nothing to stop clothing from brushing against the paint and the smell of wet paint is not you want in a dining room. It was supposed to be a recently refurbished hotel but that did not extend as far as the bedrooms. The bedroom we had was a standard double that was on the top floor - the bathroom had clearly not been updated or cleaned properly for a long time. We heard similar stories from other guests. Our room looked clean, but there was a dirty towel hanging on the back of the door when we went in.

This hotel is obviously a wedding reception venue when a event is on there is a shortage of staff to look after other paying guests One member of staff to serve bar and restaurant with occasional help The usual noise at night at a wedding reception Lovely setting and the hotel is clean and recently re vamped to a high standard The staff on duty were pleasant At checking in we were not offered any help with our luggage and had to climb step stair case no mention of a lift other end of hotel We are both 80 We saw no member of management to pass our concerns to

Beautiful location for the wedding we went to. The food and staff were excellent. However, the hotel is in the process of refurbishment and some rooms are definitely better than others. The staff work really hard but they could definitely do with a few more of them. Overall a lovely stay but for the room price of approximately £200 per nights I would expect a little more in my room than I got.

We stayed at Grand Villa Heights Hotel in a Bay View room while attending a wedding, and we had a wonderful experience from start to finish. Our room was lovely, with a beautiful view that made our stay even more special. The hotel itself is set in a stunning location, with breathtaking views overlooking Robin Hood’s Bay. The venue and grounds are absolutely beautiful and provided the perfect setting for the wedding. The wedding was fantastic from beginning to end, and everything was so well organised. All of the staff were friendly, welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast the following morning was delicious and the perfect start before our long journey home. We would definitely recommend Grand Villa Heights Hotel and would happily stay there again in the future.

We loved our stay here. They are in the middle of renovations and we paid for a cheaper room that hadn't been renovated fully yet. We were a little worried it would be grotty or quite dated since the pictures on the website for those rooms weren't great, but the rooms were actually pretty nice. The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are amazing with breathtaking views. The restaurant is great. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Also it's lovely to see all the birds about the property especially the swallows who are constantly swooping around in the Carpark area

Location and views beautiful, garden really well maintained and lovely. Breakfast excellent, staff very helpful, room very spacious and comfortable On the down side but only minimal ,evening food while ok was a little over priced Room lacked a few finishing touches that could be remedied, ie. Toilet roll holder needed fixing properly, hooks on back of doors falling out, lack of toiletries, wall light on crooked, as I said only mini al but would have given 5 star if not for these.
