Disappointing
We stayed there for 9 days. We had two articles stolen from our room (The knife with a wooden handle and sheath we used to cut fruit and expensive tweezers). We know these are small things, but we do care. Use the safe they provide even for small things. When we asked for a higher floor we were told that there was a lot of noise in the upper floors, and we later discovered that this was a bogus excuse. They did change our room from the fifth floor facing a concrete wall to one on the third floor facing the mosque and the quaint cemetery. The room had a better view but was not ideal as the worshippers could see us and vice-versa. It is a do-it-yourself hotel. So you can congratulate yourself for the service.

Same sliding door for toilet and shower area
Got a room that faced Sentosa which was nice. Bed is very high because they make it such that you can shove your luggage below it. The toilet and shower area shared a sliding door (no lock) meaning if you closed the toilet door, the shower area is exposed, vice versa. There's also no place to hang your towel/clothes except on the handle bar outside the sliding door. If you are alone or a couple, it's ok but if you are with friends, it can be awkward. The shower gel smells nice but it smells and looks the same as the hand soap and conditioning shampoo so not sure if they are the same. Not a big deal to me as i stayed 1 night.
