This is my 4th time at the Alkoclar hotel and whilst it is still a great place, there were some irritants this time that I had not experienced before. They are not huge and with a little effort could be corrected easily as they are pretty much linked to the same issue. Whilst I fully understand that when in Turkey, Turkish is the language spoken and having studied Turkish previously, I do have some understanding of the language and some vocab. However, the guides in the room are completely in Turkish and so instructions on how to use the air con, TV and CD player are all in Turkish. I am an intelligent person and as such can usually work out how to use appliances without guides but none of these appliances worked by using the remote without first having to use some of the buttons on the actual appliances which is not that obvious, but could be easily explained in the guide, if there was one!! We had to call people to the room to sort this out several times. The problem with niggles is it starts you thinking about other things that are small but still a little annoying but again, easily put right. The shower head leaves a lot to be desired. It probably just needs the lime scale removed for the water to flow out of the holes properly. We didn't report this as we had already had them out for all the afore mentioned issues. My last two moans relate to the safe which is positioned on the floor of the wardrobe which makes it quite awkward when using it all the time and the fridge.
