An absolutely perfect base to explore Amsterdam from, literally a 2 minute walk to a tram stop that can drop you close to the centre. Overall, I enjoyed my stay. The in room amenities were a bit mixed. Great complimentary coffee but modest bathroom amenities. One bottle for all body soap, shampoo in one. Not bad but not any wow. Food at restaurant on 17 was pretty good. Had fennel soup that was over the moon good. Breakfast buffet was impressive, tasty and well thought out, right until it gave me a dose of food poisoning on my last day. Only downside of my stay.

The hotel has iPads to self check in, but these didn’t work for us. A very helpful member of staff checked us in and we were provided with key cards. We were blown away with the room. The room was very spacious and had a fantastic view of Amsterdam. We had a deluxe twin room. There are amenities in the shower, including a hairdryer. There is no kettle in the room but there is a coffee machine. There was a large selection of food at breakfast. There is plenty of hot and cold options. Breakfast is on the 17th floor and the views over the city (especially at sunrise) were amazing.
