Good for families
Hotel was good and convenient for a family of 5. Their large rooms accommodating families are about 30m away from the actual hotel building however the big issue for us was the lack of a parking space. The hotel gives you a “parking card” and you are allowed to park at a lot about a km or more away from the hotel. An annoyance if you have ‘forgotten’ something in your car. Otherwise the location is good and close to restaurants and the heart of town. Walking distance of the Meersburg castle. Take the Minau cruise from Meersburg.

Location is perfect within the historic walls. Yes, it's a historic village so there is no car park, but that's easy to find out prior to arrival. Be prepared for that. Yes, it's more of a hostel-like hotel without luxury amenities, again, be prepared for these things and it's exactly as expected. The room had everything we expected and/or needed, no complaints! A historic building in a quiet little village where you can walk to everything. Absolutely will return here!

Poor staff support, didnt have our proper reservation, blamed expedia. Got to room and three beds short! Unapologetic. Took 25 minutes to be seen for checkin. They offered up another inadequate hotel, kilometers down the road and some free drink coupons at the original hotel...wow. This HUGE error caused us to cancel our vacation with no availability anywhere else. The staff could have cared less. Free parking area is a real hike, far away, and requires 50 euro deposit. Recommend avoiding to ensure a worry free trip.

There is NO automobile parking within two blocks of the property. As a couple with a few mobility problems, it was difficult to check in and out with our minimal luggage. If we’d have been on a longer trip, it would have been impossible. On a more positive side, the facilities were very convenient to the old town of Meersburg with charming shops, cafes and stores. They have done an amazing job of converting an ancient building into a clean, modern, comfortable place to stay in European style, at a very reasonable price.

An evening in Meersburg
All the hotel staff was excellent. A full American and European breakfast was one of the best. If I have any complaint it would be the distance from the hotel to the free parking. It was about a 15 minute walk. It was free so no big problem. Great hotel I would recommend it.

Hotel befindet sich in der Oberstadt, die durchaus ihre Reize hat. Zum bzw. vom Hafenbereich allerdings sind 170 Stufen bzw. steilansteigender Weg zurückzulegen. Der Parkplatz ist in 20minütigem Fußmarsch zu erreichen. Diese Angabe fehlte in der Buchungsinfo. Ebenso fehlte, daß sich das Zimmer in einem benachbarten Haus befindet, Frühstück jedoch gibts nur im Hotel. Die Zimmerausstattung ist sehr karg, deshalb abweisend und ungemütlich. Sehr wünschenswert wären nähere Angaben über die Gesamtsituation.
