Hop to Chenonceau
Fantastic location close to the Chateau de Chenonceau. Airy and light room and attentive staff. The restaurant was delicious and it is an ideal stop near Tours.

8/10 Very good

Very pleasant, traditional hotel
This is a traditional, old-style French 2* hotel - a breed that is, sadly, becoming less common. It's situated right in the heart of Chenonceaux village, just round the corner from the Chateau. There is a decent sized private car park. The hotel is older fashioned and, although some might think it a little shabby in places, it's clean and comfortable. The staff are very friendly and speak decent English. Bedrooms are simply furnished but have everything you need - plentiful towels, a TV and a kettle (but you need to bring your own tea/coffee). The restaurant serves good, home cooking at a reasonable price, including an excellent starter buffet. If you want to eat out, there are four or five other places in the village as well as a bakers opposite for breakfast. Internet is free and reasonable. Good value.

6/10 Good

Basic facilities at a low price.
Old fashioned hotel with very basic facilities but comfortable and the food was good for the price. No shower curtain so the bathroom gets flooded. No soaps or shampoo except a liquid dispenser over the bathtub. Kettle provided but no tea or coffee in the room. Dinner was good but service could be better.

Great location
Four of my sisters and one brother-in-law spent a night in this hotel on our way through France. The beds were comfortable and the location to the chateau in Chenonseaux was great. Rooms were clean and the hotel was quaint.

Nice hotel close to a classic Chateau
This is a nice French hotel in a small town. Quite comfortable even if the room is small. We enjoyed our time there and the staff were very pleasant.

'A curate's egg !'
This is quite an old, rather traditional hotel. It also serves as a restaurant and in that respect, it's also quite typical. The building and furnishings have seen better days but it's nevertheless reasonably comfortable. On positive points, the restaurant menu is quite reasonable and the meals we had there were quite satisfactory if a little expensive for what they were. In the annexxe we found the wifi connection very good (though not secured) which was useful. A particular negative point for motorists is the car park which, although having plenty of space, is not at all accessable requiring a long walk round the hotel, particularly if staying in the annexxe. If you stay here, don't bring a lot of luggage ! Overall, we felt the cost was high by comparison with other hotels we've stayed in and not at all good value for money, but probably a reflection on it's place in Chenonceaux (other hotels seemed to have a similar tariff.)

8/10 Very good

A charming little hotel at a great price.
I very much enjoyed my stay here. The building is almost five hundred years old and well kept. It's cute and full of character. The room was clean and comfortable. The bathroom was spacious. It had an extra long bathtub which was excellent for a tall person like myself. The staff are all very friendly and attentive. The castle, train station, post office, and bakery are all a short walk away. All this for a very affordable price. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Chenonceaux.
