Avoid!
Disappointed and wouldn’t use again. I would rather spend a little more and choose a nicer hotel, or spend less and stop in a hostel.
We booked two rooms. One had a dirty toilet and the shower had a smell of drains. The other room was poorly cleaned, had stains on the walls and blinds. The aircon was very loud, and woke me up, and I can usually sleep through anything! Also the room we had backed onto a stairwell which meant we couldn’t have our blinds up as two other rooms looked into our window. See picture. Think this should be mentioned by the hotel as it was the same price as the other room.
We payed for early check in to one room to drop off our bags. This was €20, which I think is a lot, and most other hotels let you do this for free or a smaller charge. When hotels have a check in time, I assume this is so they have enough time to get the room clean and ready for the next guest. This clearly wasn’t done as my room was filthy. I wouldn’t have minded paying the fee if the room was in good condition but it wasn’t.
I’ve stayed in five other hotels this week, all but one booked on hotels.com, and all of them will be getting five star reviews. I’m not picky, I just expect a clean, comfortable room and helpful staff. You won’t get this here.
