Banyan Tree Shanghai On The Bund, Shanghai, China

Nice relaxing overall atmosphere.

We booked a river view room for our stay and indeed we were given one, however we saw most of the roof top of other buildings more than the river given that ours were on the 3rd floor. The service was mediocre given the standard expected from such hotel. Check in staff were professional but when we did an early check out on our last day, the staff was just sleeping on the desk. There was no apology even after we tried to wake her up, or even a simple concern about our stay. The location of the hotel is quite out of the way as well. There doesn’t seems to be any decent restaurants or shops within 0.5km from the hotel. Nonetheless, the room was really spacious and amenities were splendid.

Room a bit dated, curtain can’t be drawn up or down, pillow provided with all kind of stains on it under the cover.

The hotel is exceptionally well designed and well run. Amazing suite, beautifully designed, excellent bed, very spacious bathroom, great bath. A fun rooftop bar. and excellent restaurants,

Lovely hotel on the banks of the river with a lovely view across the Bund. Stayed in a room with a large pool which was excellent at night to relax in with a great view across the city. The standard or the service was high. Would recommend.
