Nice rooms.
Check in was a little bumpy. We arrived early and the front desk stowed our luggage while we went sight seeing. They said they'd call as soon as our room was call. We came back at the normal 3:00 check in time and there was still no room ready for us. Twenty minutes later, they gave us our room key. We went upstairs only to find our room that was supposed to be a double queen room had a single queen, other than the reservation, it was obvious to the staff that our party consisted of two adults and one child. We went back downstairs and 15 minutes later we were in our room. The front desk offered us drinks while we waited but I would have preferred a gift card or a comp for drinks at a time I would like to have one, they offered one for later but who wants to be the guy who goes up to the desk and say"hey remember how you screwed up my check-in and offered us drinks yesterday?". The rooms are beautiful and HUGE for NYC. Nicely furnished and very clean. The beds were a little uncomfortable but the sheets, pillows and blankets were great.

A 1-Night Stay to Remember
Our stay at the Refinery Hotel was everything we needed for a last minute birthday and anniversary celebration. Upon arrival we were greeted by Tommy, who we later learned is the Hotel Manager. Much to our surprise, we were offered a glass of wine. Not only was he extremely pleasant, he also made sure that we got to fully experience the area, the hotel’s live jazz and their rooftop bar. We had sooo much fun! We were also upgraded to a room with a view of the Empire State Building, talk about scenic! Shortly after checking into our room we were given a bottle of white wine, 2 cupcakes from Magnolia’s Bakery (yummm!), and a birthday card from the team. This hotel is full of fun and surprises. Refinery Hotel is across the street from iPark garage which was pretty convenient (~$60 for 24 hours) although a little pricey. The hotel is also close by all of the NYC action, with a bit of peace and quiet. We wish we stayed beyond one night, but we will recommend this hotel to all of our friends and family and definitely return!!!

A great stay!
Our stay was excellent from start to finish. Very friendly people. I’ve been to nyc 9 times and this is by far the best stay yet. They treat you like a friend, helping in whatever way they can! Excellent room and excellent food and drinks! Will stay here when I return!
