Nice resort, but rooms need updating
This was probably a really nice place in its heyday, but it is definitely starting to show its age. The rooms, especially the bathrooms, could really use an update. Bathroom fixtures were rusty and most surfaces were stained. The patio doors didn’t lock (although this was fixed as soon as we reported it, however it seemed like something that would quickly break again). There is very limited bathroom privacy since the “bathroom” is just a section of the bedroom separated by a partial curtain. At least the toilet is behind some frosted glass, but there is no sound isolation. The bathroom is also much too dark. The mirror lighting is terrible for make-up application, with a shadow-casting up-light. The area on the beachfront is nice, but it also means that it’s always noisy. The staff and service were great and both check-in and check-out were quick and easy. Amenities included disposable slippers, robes, safe, mini-fridge, hot water kettle/teas, and two complimentary water bottles. The room was very large and both nightstands had international outlets, which really came in handy.
