Just Don’t Do It!!
Good location near the Corniche, but otherwise very disappointing. We booked a junior suite, but it had the smallest bathroom ever. The swimming pool was empty. The WiFi didn’t work. The restaurant closed early so the chef could watch the World Cup! The hotel wanted to charge extra to watch the football. The hotel’s airport shuttle service was more than double the price of a taxi, but didn’t turn up until we chased, and was then more than 30 minutes late. When we complained, the hotel said that the service is provided by an outside company and we should take it up with them. Mercure Hotels claim to offer an impeccable experience. Not in Jeddah they don’t.

Spent few days in Jeddah, I really enjoyed it. The Mercure Hotel location was very good, only few minutes walk from the beach and palastine street with plenty of shops and restaurants. Staff at the Mercure were very friendly, professional and polite. Always happy to help. Special thanks to Mohammed, at reception desk.
