Good stay
Homewood Suites is very good hotel. I stayed with my family for 6 days. During chick in, they demand 100 dollar that well get back after chick out. Breakfast was lovely for the first 2 days, but in average for the rest days. No house keeping all the 6 days. However, they asked me twice. If I need anything.. Overall, it was good staying.

Needs updating and better cleaning services
The rooms could be updated. Furniture has scratches on it. Sink still had toothpaste in it when i checked to a new room. Wall was dirty in the bathroom. Needs to be cleaned more thoroughly

Low floor, noisy
My son and I decided to have a staycation since we’re tired of being home during the pandemic. We’ve stayed on numerous occasions in the past and always loved it but I can’t say the same for this visit. We were put in a room on the second floor immediately above the open lobby area similar to a mezzanine so we could hear all of the noise from the lobby and elevators. Small room in a corner with no view of the outside and one set of towels for 2 guests. Dish soap was diluted so it didn’t even foam when trying to wash dishes. The condition of the room looks run down compared to previous visits though the cleaning staff appears to have done a good job of cleaning. Should have asked to be moved to a higher floor so it wouldn’t be as loud but didn’t want to bother packing our things. Disappointed overall as I was expecting an enjoyable stay as we’ve always had in the past. Not sure we’ll be coming back.

Disappointed.......
Pros: Kitchenette & Balcony with tables and chairs. but balcony view was MEH!. Cons: Dirty bed sheets and funky smelly in the room. Which is why I bought Febreze spray to eliminate the weird smelly. and it's not very clean either. and waiting check in is like forever. and free breakfast was like MEH!. and saw one of the hotel customer who sniffed the muffin and then put it back in the pantry then that's when I told the kitchen worker, she was shocked by what I saw it. Next day there's only one flavor muffins like chocolate chip, because of hotel customer did that very stupid by sniffing it. U know drip from the nose on that muffin, BACTERIA! COVID! I suggest video monitor in breakfast room!!!!!.....Will I go back to this hotel?. Uhm no I don't think so. I rather very clean bed sheet and smells nicely at another hotel....

Great hotel
I’m giving my overall rating 9 stars..They are literally a short walk from the train station and within a few minutes walk of Times Square, restaurant row, etc. The hotel is very modern & clean. Exactly as pictured on line. Bed was comfortable, room was spacious & having the kitchen area is a plus! Staff is very helpful & friendly. Our shower seal was leaking and they sent maintenance to repair. He was at our room within 10 minutes & fixed it with no problems after that. During this time (pandemic), lots of things are limited, but they were very accommodating with a great breakfast each morning, fresh coffee 24 hrs a day and never failed to give us anything we asked for (towels, toilet paper, etc). The -1 star comes from the surrounding area (out of their control). There are many homeless people outside of the hotel, as well as the surrounding blocks. Most are strungout on drugs, some were seen actually doing the drugs. It’s sad to see this is real life! That being said, we didn’t feel in danger, no one really bothered with us except to ask for change here & there. The hotel secures their entrance which can only be accessed by hotel key. We will definitely stay there again.

Nice and clean with friendly staff! Breakfast was included and our room had a kitchenette which was so convenient as we were traveling with our little ones (age 7mos and 6yo). The location was perfect! We would definitely stay here again!
