Cool place at a decent price
A very cool hotel with neat decor. I really enjoyed the breakfast, and especially the coffee machine. There is a bit of a walk to any restaurants or sights, so be prepared for that. Also, the walls are a bit on the thin side - I could hear a cell phone vibrate in the room next to mine.

No Complaints with Hotel
I was in Hamburg for one night. The hotel is about a 15 minute walk from the train station. I was able to walk to St Nikolai Church/museum in about 20 mins from the hotel. Everything else I did, I took the subway. My room was comfortable. The shower had good water pressure and hot water. No AC, but the temp was such that it was not needed. No fan is available at the desk, either. There didn't seem to be very much in the vicinity of the hotel in terms of bars or restaurants, altho you can get drinks in the hotel. Breakfast is available for a charge, but I left early in the morning and ate at the train station.

Style Over Substance
My stay here was disappointing. Looking at the website and the photos, it seems like a stylish and fashionable hotel that would impress for the price. However, you quickly realise that, despite the modern colours and style of the reception area, too many things are not what you expect for the price. There are some very basic things missing and which could be easily improved to offer a high standard of customer service, which is currently not being offered. The rooms are clean and tidy, without doubt. However: 1. The rooms are too small with virtually no wardrobe space 3. The beds are almost too hard and the pillows far too flat 4. There is no telephone in the room - if you want reception, you have to go downstairs 5. The food offer is minimal and low quality and the breakfast is too expensive for what you get 7. The politeness and helpfulness of the staff is variable - some are friendly; quite a few others give the impression that they don't care about their customer. 8. There are too many rules and restrictions and, whilst I understand the reasons for them, they make the stay less pleasant e.g. you can't take drinks from the bar to you room, if you want an iron, you have to pay a 20 Euro deposit (and, incidentally, carry it up to your room yourself from reception) 9. You have to fill out a detailed form on arrival for every person staying and sign a disclaimer about hotel rules 10. Various bits of signage give a poor impression because they seem flippant and rude
