First time of unpleasant experience in Vancouver
It was an unpleasant stay. After a long flight to Vancouver,it was about 7pm when I arrived at Waterfront station and walked to the hostel. The hostel not that easy to spot as no big sign or neon light. When I was finally got there, there was a night shift lady in the hostel counter, I presented my booking confirmation information that I printed out from the e-mail, but she told me no need to give her to see and just gave her my passport. She checked my information in the computer and gave me the room key. The room was on second floor, since no lift in there, I had to carry my heavy baggage walking up the stairs. I was exhausted after the walk. When I entered the room, it was like shared dorm with two bunk beds in the two opened room and all the lower beds were fully occupied by other customers. I remembered I had booked a private room, I thought either I had booked it wrongly or they had run out of private room. Since I am not get used to stay in shared room with other strangers. That night, I could hardly sleep. The upper bunk bed I slept, there were When I checked out,the day shift counter staff, it was a guy, then realised they gave me the wrong key to the room, they should had given me the a private room instead of that shared room. Although he had apologised and had given $10 of refund, but my trip on that day was totally spoiled

The downstairs bar had very loud music on almost every night. Particularly on Friday it was louder and went on till 2am. Bunk bed squeak and can tell every movement of other party.
