The stay at the lodge was amazing. Best way to enjoy the amazons and the local guide was super knowledgeable and nice! I normally prefer to explore by myself rather than tours but in this case it was completely worth it. The stay included full board with delicious meals.

Great Experience!
This is the place to go if you want more individual attention from your Amazon guide. Our guide was excellent and seemed to genuinely care that we had a great experience. If you're a birder, this is a great choice---they make sure you get to see a lot! The food was good, although if you are staying more than 3 days it may get a little repetitive. The beds were comfortable and the rooms were nice. Be prepared to have a few critters in your room, but that's no surprise---you're in the Amazon! :-)

8/10 Very good

This is a great simple lodge in Amazon. I really liked the food and tours, they serve simple Brazilian food with at least one meal containing a local fish. The desert is also very good. The huts are simple but comfortable and there are units with AC. They are flexible with the tour schedule which gives you flexibility to design your trip to the lodge. Some guides speak bette English than others. The only thing I didn’t like was one segment of the transfer to and out the lodge. The car from Manaus and the boats are great but the car segment ( the longest one) to the second pier is made through an old beat up VW van and it really doesn’t feel safe. If it wasn’t for that our trip would have been perfect.

Great place to stay
Dolphin Lodge is a great choice in the Amazon. The staff are really pleasant and go out of their way to be helpful, guides are excellent, as is the food. The rooms are not posh ( you are in the jungle! ) but are very comfortable with an en suite bathroom. Transportation is well organised. I would recommend Dolphin Lodge for a 3 day stay.

Abundant jungle contact. Great!
Expect rain, got it! Scary, muddy approach road before cool riverboat travel. Surprisingly few mosquitoes and lots of flora/fauna

Dolphin Lodge is absolutely amazing!
We stayed two nights/three days at dolphin lodge and cannot recommend it highly enough! Everything from the moment you are picked up is an adventure - you are taken by car, then speed boat, then combi van, then another speed boat, reaching dolphin lodge 2 1/2 hours later - you get to see some amazing scenery and experience the area before you even arrive. Dolphin lodge's set up is perfect - simple and appropriate for being in the middle of the jungle, but with everything you need! The food is excellent and authentic, with everything that's not eaten going to the surrounding community. The activities are so much fun - the staff go out of their way to fulfil any special requests or to show you that one animal you had been most hoping to see. You can really see that the whole community benefits from the tourism brought in by dolphin lodge. The two day/three night package was the perfect length of time in our minds. If you are on the fence about how to experience the Amazon, I really recommend choosing dolphin lodge!
