Not worth it
Mario was a great host. He told us how to get from station to the apartment, explained how to get around town and everything. That was the only positive thing during our stay. Biggest problem we had was with cleanliness. We found mold on the bathroom ceiling and the shower was absolutely horrific. The only thing dusted was the table, and rest of the room was covered in dust. We also had huge problems with hot a sense that there was none. We had to call Mario 6 times!! that evening only to find out that he will come tomorrow morning. I was also bothered with the fact that there is no one there for the whole day except for a few hours which makes it hard to get problems fixed. Mario offered us to stay in a different location with a same name which was slightly better but still had occasional problems with water. Breakfast was criminal and I felt scammed having to pay for 1 croissant and 1 piece of rusk per person. You get yogurt and glass of juice and coffee and that's it. We had to buy our own breakfast because we were still hungry. Its relatively close to sights(20+mins) and beds are somewhat comfortable. Overall I didn't find it very appealing and with huge problems. Biggest of which are lack of hot water, breakfast, lack of staff( or anyone for that matter) and absolute uncleanliness of the place. Stay somewhere else if you can this "hotel" ruined our Rome stay to some extent.

A cosy and comfortable B&B in a nice location
The Residenza Horti Sallustiani was a lovely place to stay. In a nice area of Rome with lots of restaurants nearby. This property is a B&B located on the 4th floor with a comfortable bed and an in-room toilet/shower. The room and breakfast area was very clean and tidy. Mario was a great host, easy to get on with and spoke reasonable English. He was very helpful and provided advice on the sights to see. The property is only a short 10-15 min walk from Rome station and bus area. It was also easy to walk to most tourist attractions from the property. I consider this property to be very good value for money and would recommend the Residenza Horti Sallustiani to anyone what a good room and location in Rome. There is also a great Gelato shop just around the corner.

Great little hotel
We had an amazing stay in Rome. The hotel is small and friendly - Mario (the owner) is very helpful and provides a good cup of coffee! Great situation - easy to get to all the major tourist attractions - in a safe and clean area. Would definately visit again.

Dishonest owner! DONT GO!
Cannot really say how the hotel is inside because although I paid I could not get in. There was none to answer the door. When I booked I informed Mario that my flight arrived at 8:35 pm. My flight was delayed for an hour and the luggage took another hour. By the time I arrived at the hotel - 00:29 h - the was none there. None one answering the phone. Nothing. I paid and I could not get in. And to make it worse they refused to give me my money back and said they waited for me from 8 am until 1 am. Well, if I informed my flight arrived late why 8am? 1 am is also a lie since none answer the phone or the door. So please don't go to this place with such dishonest owner. Maybe you also end up in the street even having paid.

Lovely one night stay
I stayed there for one night with a friend, we had an excellent service and welcome by the owner. Will definitely come back. The only thing is that on is it mentioned that there is a free parking nearby but there are not. It was hard to find a parking on the street so we ended up parking in a private garage . Except for that everything else went well.
